Subject: Re: ShopTalk: Bad batch of SA2000

I used the SA 2000 and had the same problem with some heads comming loose.  I now only use the SA 2000 for test clubs that are only used for a short duration on the range.  Scrape off the Sa 2000 residue with a razor or utility blade ensuring all the paint is removed from the shaft tip.  Wipe the tip area with some Acetone to ensure it is clean of any residue.  Ensure the hosel is cleaned out,  use a wire brush or something similar to remove any residue.  Then I use a hosel cleaning brush mounted in my drill with a piece of cotton on the hosel brush and a few drops of Acetone.  Run this inside the hosel and inspect to ensure its clean.

Subject: ShopTalk: Bad batch of SA2000

Some advice please. I must have received a bad batch of SA2000 as a lot of heads are coming loose now that we have gone from winter to summer in three days. I can twist off the heads quite easily by hand. Does anyone have any sage advice about how to prepare the graphite shafts before using the epoxy I should have used in the first place?  TIA,

Hunter
