I haven't posted in so long, but I'm still reading some... Last Sunday I played in my club's opening tournament, a scramble. I really don't enjoy scrambles much, but I played in it anyway. We get to #6 and the Callaway Rep is there letting you hit a Callaway driver to test it out. The tournament rules said you had to use your own club for the scramble, but could hit an extra one to test out the new snazzy $400 clubs.
For the record, I'm currently playing a Raven 320cc on a UST PF65 S-flex shaft. 46" long, and I have been hitting it pretty well lately. So in the tournament I hit my club first, since I was hitting it well. Hit a good one, about 245 (uphill, wet fairways). No roll on this hole really. Maybe 10 yds. Then hit a Callaway Fusion driver with this goldish colored shaft, Aldila NS something. I hit it DEEP - in the woods. :-) Actually it felt SO light to me, I know my swingweight is a little on the heavy side. So I think between the length of the club (about an inch shorter) and the swingweight being so much lighter, it felt like i was swinging a straw... Wouldn't matter, even if I had outhit my drive I wouldn't be dropping $400 on a driver... -Eric ===== --------------------------------- Eric Schoonmaker Plainville, MA [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------- __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
