Ed,
No it was the real deal. I think it was over the limit, it was really bent. Guess I could have heated it more but still not sure that would have been enough to do the job.

Bruce,
Was it REAL Odyssey or a clone? If it was clone then the head was probably made of a zinc alloy and was almost preordained to break when you attempted the bend.

Thanks to all that responded. The Odyssey is history. I may not have been clear that the 2 baller was one with a ping like hosel and it was bent in the stand part of the hosel.

I tried heating, maybe not enough, using a "c" clamp I was able to flatten the bow some. More heat and to the anvil with a ball peen hammer, this too worked somewhat. More heat and clamped the head in a vise and with the shaft as a lever was able to move it some more. Then clamped it in the putter bending machine and with the bending bar was doing rather well, when BINGO it gave way. Had the bad boy to 9 degrees of loft, I had not yet worked on the lie, which was equally as bad. It broke in the stand where it was bent the worse. Think it had been weaken too much by the bending. Not sure but it looks like it may have also cracked the stand where it is attached to the head. This one may have been an impossible mission.
