Mykey and Tom- thanks for the replies- I posted yesterday but it appears to be lost in space, so I'll try again.
The head is a Hireko Acer XDS 2 Pro model. I had a six iron head around the shop for some time so I ordered a 4-pw w/o the six. They came in 1.2 grams light of Hireko's specs but all within .5 grams of the seven gram increment. The six iron happened to be 4 gram high. I took two grams from the hosel which was as much as I thought safe. I'm shafting these with the new DG super lights. They seems to be a bread of their own. They have a larger dia., thinner walls, and lack the last two steps of the DG series. They don't seem to like being trimmed more than the T.T. schedule. Past a certain trim - the frequency meter does not pick up the change of tip trimming. It appears the butt is flexing in the clamp. Have any of you found this to be the case ? Any-who, I would like to remove a couple/three grams if it's not going to be a can of worms. I have access to the polishing equipment but was unsure what grit to start with and were to remove the most metal. Regards Steve Steve Prescott Quantum Resources 310-263-1976 x21
