ShopTalk: C-thru grips

I have a customer who wants a C-thru USA grip installed on his putter. I just received the grip today and found out I need hair spray to install the grip properly. Directions seem easy enough to follow but would like to know if one kind of hair spray works better than another?  Has anyone tried to install these grips by blowing them on?
