I used to use a .370 reamer I bought from GS and, more than occasionally, got a shaft stuck in a newly-reamed hosel while dry-fitting it. On one occasion I ended up having to cut the shaft off about eight to ten inches above the hosel, put the head and shaft stub in the freezer overnight, clamp the stub in my super lock tight shaft holder, and pull the head off with some difficulty.

I bought a .373 reamer at a local tool store and have not had a similar problem since.

Subject: Re: ShopTalk: .335 and .370 Reamers?

Ed, I Never used .370 reamers, I always  used .375 which is only.005 over the target size of .370.     I have never had a problem either using that size.  PLUS I KNOW THAT WHOLESALE TOOL HAS THE .375 IN STOCK.     PLUS IF YOU CAN NOT FIND THE .370 IN A STRAIGHT FLUTE YOU COULD ALWAYS USE A LEFT HANDED FLUTE.OR IN THAT MATTER OU COULD ALWYS USE A RIGHT HAND FLUTE JUST REMEMBER TO USE A LOT OF CUTTING OIL WHEN EVER OU USE THE RIGHT HAND FLUTE
