Bob,
I think your numbers are in the right direction, but want some
reassurance on their actual values. (snipped the rest.)

I have been away for a few days, but this morning I made an 8 iron Hybrid, for
one of my customers.
I dry fitted the club to the frequency I needed, to match his other irons, now
I needed to get the S / W to D1 or D2.
When I dry fitted for S / W, using my Kenneth Smith fixture, I placed the shaft
on top of the cradle, secured it with my wire ring (wt. 1.5 gm.) at the point
where it was to be cut, with the rest of the shaft extending past the end of
the fixture. At this point the S / W was D6, after doing some rough
calculations, I concluded that it would come in pretty close.
And it did, gripped and ready to go it was D2.

It looks like the reading I get with the wire loop will drop about 4 S / W when
club is complete, and ready for use. This is as close as I ever need to get!

Regards,

Bob
