The demo Cleveland hasn't come in yet, but I spent some time yesterday measuring my Cobra M/12.0 Speed L/D, 5000 Inertia, R flex, 50 gram, LBP, 4.5 deg torque, Aldila NVS, 45" driver. (That stuff is written on the shaft and head - impressive, huh?). So here's what I got: Freq, ungripped, 5" clamp, 236 cpm Weight, no grip, 258 grams (implies a 208 gram head) SW with Tour Velvet split grip - C9 Actual loft, 12 deg. (didn't try to measure face angle but it's closed about 3 deg. To experiment, I added a 1 1/4" shaft extension and checked SW - D4 + with a split grip and three lengths of buildup tape and double stick tape. I then added enough tape around the plug to match the o.d. of the shaft butt and got the SW to just over D3. Freq went from 236 to about 229 - 230 cpm. So If I want to make a 46 1/2" driver from this there's no problem - low freqs and manageable SW's A heavier grip, like a mid-size Winn or Tacki-Mac, etc, would get the SW down to the D1/D2 range. I didn't put it together at 46.5". Just an experiment. I also checked specs on a Titleist 904F 3 wood I'm regripping for a guy. Graphite Design YS-6 FW+(?), R flex, 43 1/4", 264 cpm ungripped, 286 grams, D0 with split grip, C9 with 3 wraps plus double stick tape. Actual loft 15 deg. Kinda stiff for a so called "R" flex, I think. TFlan
