Great tip, Jeremy. I normally do the same thing and didn't bother this time and nearly knocked myself in the noggin.

here is a tip that might help re  epoxy set.
whenever I mix epoxy i allow some left over on the strip of masking tape that I mix on
so  I can test it for "set" at the time i want to use the clubs.
I have detected faulty mix and  substandard epoxy a couple of times this way
