Here's how:
1. club head must rest on a solid surface. 2.:helper holds clubhead steady by the shaft. 3.set stamp on surface holding with one hand. 4.HERE IS THE SECRET - one solid strike with a heavy hammer on the stamp. NO TAP TAP TAP. Multiple hits will cause double or triple shallow stamp results. Practice on a scrap piece of steel. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Longeway <slong...@gmail.com> To: ShopTalk@mail.msen.com <shoptalk@mail.msen.com> Sent: Mon, Apr 18, 2016 1:20 pm Subject: ShopTalk: Stamping Irons Has anyone had good luck stamping forged irons? I have a set of Miuras going in for loft lie check and I was going to whack and paint fill some initials into them before they go, but wanted to get some advice from here before I went too wild. Any input you all have would be great. Thanks! Steve
