Hi Bob,

I have made several sets of Wishon Sterling single length irons. I have not
had any feedback on the wedges like yours until recently. One of my senior
customers has had issues with the sand wedge only, he hit the pitching and gap
wedges fine. I think I will try back weighting the sand wedge for him.

Thanks,

Moe

Subject: ShopTalk: My experience with single length irons

 Hi All :

I am posting this in case anyone else has encountered this problem with longer
wedges.

I decided to make myself a set of Pinhawk single length irons, all at 37” long.
I really liked them, they were very easy to hit, except for the gap and
pitching wedge, which I consistently hit fat, but no such problem with the
other irons or hybrids in the set.

After installing back weights, (36 gram) in my wedges, I set out for the
driving range to test them. Incredibly I did not hit one fat shot with the
aforementioned clubs, it was simply astounding.

Several weeks later I removed the back weights from the Pitching and Gap
wedges, went to the range not expecting to hit any fat shots, because I was now
hitting these clubs so well, it probably was just a mental thing, thinking the
weights eased my fears of hitting fat shots.

Well to my complete disbelief, every shot I hit with these wedges were once
again fat! I quickly reinstalled the back weights and no more fat shots.

Comments anyone?

Regards,

Bob
