Is there anyway to redirect a list of addresses to a text file for cleaning up

long list of hosts access to a port and it makes it difficult to navigate or
edit now.

Hi Joseph,

Use the "params" file. Put a row like this in /etc/shorewall/params:
somehosts=192.0.2.1,192.0.2.3,192.0.2.56,192.0.2.239

... then refer to the list as "$somehosts" in /etc/shorewall/rules.

Or create an action that accepts traffic from all of the hosts.
