Hi,

I'm not quite sure if my rules are correctly set for accounting the whole traffic over eth0. I have a 2 interfaces setup, eth0 connected to the internet and eth1 to the local network.

No I want to count the whole internet traffic (in and out, each protocol) for eth0.

I'm using shorewall 4.0.13 and the following rules in /etc/shorewall/accounting:

traffic - - eth0
traffic - eth0 -
traffic:COUNT - - eth0
traffic:COUNT - eth0 -

The first two rules are the same as the second two. Also, if all you want is the traffic in/out of eth0, you can get that from "ip -s link list dev eth0"
without any Shorewall rules.
