Hi all, Run into some troubles setting up Shorewall on Voyager linux -- specifically with the /var/lib/shorewall trying to be written to the ro portion of Voyagers filesystem.
The mailinglist and guides say to create /etc/shorewall/vardir to point the directory somewhere else, but this doesn't seem to work. Instead I simply edited /sbin/shorewall and replaced VARDIR with a workable location (in Voyager this is /rw/var/lib/shorewall) after copying the contents of (/ro/var/lib/shorewall) there, and everything worked as expected. Just a heads up that either 1) this feature may need testing or 2) more comprehensive instructions on its use need to be developed in case people like me can't figure it out in future. :D Thanks -- Owen Stickley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Shorewall-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/shorewall-users
