I think the notion of replacing a config file on an upgrade is
completely broken unless the user has not modified the file from the
prior install. That is the way that rpm works when you specify a file as
a configuration file.

Then I am glad that I used the tarball to install on Archlinux rather
than pacman. The installer in the tarball declines to replace ANY
configuration file.
