Shorewall 4.6.5 RC 1 is now available for testing. Problems Corrected since Beta 3:
1) On kernel 3.17, LOG_BACKEND=LOG previously failed with the
diagnostics:
Setting up log backend
/var/lib/shorewall/.restart: line 2075: echo: write error:
No such file or directory
WARNING: Unable to set log backend to ipt_LOG
2) Several issues with the -C option have been resolved:
- ip[6]tables-restore no longer fails due to a bogus runline.
- A 'chain exists' diagnostic from ip[6]tables has been eliminated.
- 'start -fC' now works correctly when LEGACY_FASTSTART=No
