My ISP provides me a sticky, but not quite static, IP.  It *can* change, but 
only *has* 3 times in 3 years.

Still, I track the change with a ddlclient script, and update my local 
nameserver, etc if & as needed.

With MultiISPs, VPNs, multiple interfaces, etc.  I'm gonna bump into having to 
use the IP address somewhere in my shorewall config.

For Shorewall, I'm reading up on the lsm script.

Before I start down that road with what appears to be a redundant process, is 
there a convenient way to get that ddlcient-tracked IP into shorewall 'params', 
or wherever it'd NEED to be to get picked up early enough to be (re)used ina 
shorewall (re)start?
