At the time that was how I got my VPN working. I think probably that was a reasonable solution but now I've turned off the DMZ setting in the Homehub and configured it just to let my VPN connection through. Seems to be working fine; not sure if it's added any security but at least it's cut down the size of the shorewall log. Thanks again for your help.
