You can check if the shorewall firewall is working by running the
"shorewall status" command. Please note that shorewall is not a running
Linux process. Shorewall is a netfilter (iptables etc.) rules compiler.
Therefore, checking the status of its operation (whether the netfilter
rules applied) consists in running the "shorewall(6) status" command.
