You should determine if shorewall is *trying* to start and failing, or if systemd is not configured to start it. $ sudo systemctl status shorewall Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/shorewall.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) > Also, I was surprised to find that /etc/systemd/system/shorewall.service > didn't exist.
