Fairly basic command-line based utility with boot up scripts and a couple of 
configuration files for managing and/or querying the status of the Linux kernel 
firewall. Other than that, really, no more no less.

What do you expect? Somebody could and should write a beginner level book on 
it. Graybeards need to bring newbies up to speed on this firewall stuff. You 
locked the kids out and now they've grown up and they're opening up locksmith 
shops on the other side of the railroad tracks.

Something real basic, make it easy to lock down a system at an elementary level.
