Thanks for the feedback, Adam. I wrote a program to add my photo descriptions as titles, and my categories as tags.
Seems to work quite well - I made sure that all the descriptions and tags are in lower case for searching. By the way, the last couple of messages from you to the list crashed by mail program (evolution on Ubuntu) - no sender and no subject. Weird I would still like to play around with the separate description field using full-text searches.
