Hi jourosis, Shotwell uses the following EXIF date tags:
Exif.Image.DateTime Exif.Photo.DateTimeOriginal Exif.Photo.DateTimeDigitized The dates of photos already imported into Shotwell are kept in the Shotwell database, so it's best not to make changes afterward.
