This error comes from GPhoto.  The path is the path to your camera or memory
card.  Do you get the "unspecified error" every time?

It sounds like you killed Shotwell during the import, so it didn't create a
thumbnail for the image.  Is that the case?  If so the best thing to do is
probably to remove those photos from Shotwell and re-import them.
