I have my pictures collection stored on /media/data/Pictures and all other common pictures in /home/Thierry/Pictures. So I call "shotwell -d /media/Aux/Pictures" when I want to manage my collection and "shotwell" without argument when I just want to see standard pictures in My images directory. But since the preferences are saved in .gconf/apps/shotwell, the information about the import directory is shared, so it is the same for the two profiles, and then I get a big mess with auto-scan, or I don't auto scan but I have to change the directory each time.

So, could it be possible to store the profile information in the same directory than database. So profiles will really be independants and related to the -d option ?
Thierry
