Hi,

I am attempting to backport d-conf to Lucid and Maverick which will address the problem of Shotwell 0.11 not saving preferences. I'll report back on how things are going to this list in a couple of days.

Regards, Martin.

Hi all,

thanks to Martin Wimpress I'm enjoying Shotwell 0.11.1 to my Lucid x64. There's just one issue that I don't know ho to sort out...the preferences
are never saved. I know it's been commented but I'd like to know:
How are stored preferences in shotwell?
Is there any text file (plain text) that I could edit by hand and change
preferences forever?

Thanks

Xavi

Hi Xavi,

Shotwell 0.11 uses GSettings to store its preferences. There's several
different storage backends for GSettings, so it depends what you have
installed.

It's likely that in your case GSettings is using the "memory" backend, which means nothing is ever written to disk. This would explain why it's not
remembering anything between sessions.
