thanks for letting us know - turns out this was a serious bug (and not
the same as bug 3993 as someone had suggested). We've now fixed this
for 0.12:

Unfortunately you've lost all your hierarchical tags. That's the danger
of running pre-release software, alas. I hope you had a backup. In any
case, your sacrifice has allowed us to fix this problem for everyone
