I cannot remember why they are being flattened, I seem to have lost the start of this thread. Is the bug that caused the flattening going to be fixed (assuming it is a bug)? If not can you change the tags using the previous shotwell version (so you still have your hierarchy) in such a way that they will not then be flattened when you go to the new version? This might be easier than re-building the hierarchy. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick entirely?
