Strange, I did a bit more testing on an empty database file. Sometimes Shotwell creates xxx_cr2_shotwell.jpg and imports xxx.jpg as separate file, and other time it just couples xxx.cr2 with xxx.jpg. The files I was importing were inside the Shotwell’s photo directory.
