Hi Giacomo, It's not clear why this would occur - Shotwell 0.12.x did support importing .MP4-format videos, so this should have worked.
Can you upload one of the skipped files somewhere so we can download it here and try to determine what Shotwell doesn't like about it? (We'll treat the contents as sensitive and confidential).
