Christian, We've had several people report problems with thumbnails in Shotwell 0.13. One easy way to force Shotwell to regenerate your thumbnails is by doing the following:
1. In the Library view, select the photos with the grayed-out thumbnails. 2. Choose Auto-Enhance. 3. When completed, choose Edit -> Undo. Shotwell should regenerate the thumbnails and the Undo will remove the auto-enhancement from the images so you're back to where you started. If this doesn't work, let us know! -- Jim On Sun, Dec 2, 2012 at 4:24 PM, Christian <[email protected]> wrote: Hi, I'n using Shotwell 0.13.0 on Ubuntu 13.10 x64. When I browser down through my library there are suddenly pictures without thumbnails. It could be only a couple in a row or 30 or more without thumbnails. The pictures without thumbnail comes in clusters, not one picture now and then. When I click on those the pictures they open fine and I can work on them like I would any other pictures but they stay without thumbnails regardless of what I do. Ir looks like 20% or so of all my pictures are lacking thumbnails. Is there a way I can get Shotwell to go through my library again and create thumbnails for all my pictures? It would also be good to know how the thumbnails got "lost" so I can prevent it from happening again. -- //ceed (indeed) Dropbox.
