I've got my wife using Shotwell to manage our photos, and it works well for her with the exception of trying to upload photos to her Shutterfly account. Shutterfly's web upload tools tend to change, and there's a recurring problem with case-sensitivity in the file selector filters looking for *.jpg, and the cameras using *.JPG, so I usually have to assist in getting files uploaded for her.
There's a feature request in the issue tracker that indicates a wish to implement this support, but there doesn't seem to have been any activity on it for 2 years.
