Are you using the git version? (I'm guessing not since that just got
bumped to some sort of 0.15). Any chance you could monitor memory usage
during the import? (watching top and then giving a general description
is probably sufficient for the moment). What do you see if you attempt
to import a single photo?
At the moment this does look like some sort of bug, possibly with the
image cache. It looks like get_prefetched_copy is giving null, so
possibly populate prefetched isn't working right there (photo.vala:3320ish).

I've opened a Bug report #7447 where the logs are also submitted.
How can I help to find the problem? Might it be invalid Pictures, too
large files, who knows?
