I tried to push it forward by trial-and-error, but I got stuck anyway.
At some point compiling the kernel there is a ld error saying it can't find 
-lc. I set the toolchain up according to the website guide, and then did cd 
shr-unstable; make kernel.

Could someone look into that? And preferably package the modules in the 
upcoming update, too :)
