Imagine that you have a big software like wesnoth that is huge...
Knowing that some of the devices have and use flash...it's better to
split the package in multiple packages
for instance:
FILES_${PN}-doc => wesnoth-doc for the manuals
FILES_${PN}-music =>wesnoth-music for the music(optional)
FILES_${PN}-campaign-something =>wesnoth-campaign-something for a
campaign
etc...
FILES_${PN}-something is for that
if you look in bitbake.conf you will have the default values for the
FILES_${PN}-something
but here it's a bit different
it says:
also include /usr/share/pixmaps and /share/applications in your main
package
