Its not only religious.
They do not follow the guidlines in theire implementations.
Means. Unclean and unseparated kernel drivers.
High closed source tendency. Its more pseudo-opensource what theire doing.
They are not looking at any standarts but implement theire own standarts and 
make e.g. kernel drivers worthless with this habit.
I cant hold google because of this and so its not only religious.
Its no option to work with them as long they do not start to (spefically) clean 
up theire android kernel drivers,
so that it gets possible to also use them with GNU linux.
