Good question. But when creating such account several things need to be
considered:
* set up at least some basic rules, so rules are transparent.
* who should be included in division of funds? I get an impression that
most of projects divides their funds between core-team members.
* you have to find a way how to divide (fairly) incoming funds between
participants. Based on commits? Looks nice at a first glance, but
looking deeply... what about all those guys who writes patches but do
not have access to commit them to repository? Sounds not so fair now,
doesn'it?
* probably you need to register this in some tax offices as some kind of
(non-profit?) organisation.
* you have to carefully pick a country, in which project would be
registered to avoid heavy taxes, or even tax exempt!
* many other things i do not know about.

I am sure there are ready how-to/documents with best practices to follow
when creating such accounts for open sorce projects, but had no time to
make a full research. Just a quick search gave me [1] and [2] which
might be interesting place to ask for advices. Also I have found
interesting article [3] about OSS financing schemas.
