Almost every problem is possible to track down and fix without full rebuild, but full rebuild is time consuming for your PC, but tracking that problem needs human attention. There is lot of problems which can be found only with full rebuild (ie I found 2 failing builds after cython upgrade), yesterday zhone and ffalarms cannot be built because of newer EFL, etc.. so it happens often and in most cases I can fix it with small patch or rebuilding staged stuff in right order etc. I did full rebuild about 3 weeks ago just to check state of your branch.
