I talked to Martin few minutes ago and we've seen that 0.7 branche is still in early developement. And if you look at the older releses, the first released versions of a branch alwase were later then 0.*.5, so first 0.6.* release was 0.6.8. We can try the latest version and see if it has additional regressions and if not use it.
