Hi,
Because of 0xFFFF website issues I wasn't able to find my way to the
mailing list. (timeouts and server-side errors)

We are some people porting SHR(the currently most used distribution for
the openmoko) on the n900(we have it running on other devices like
htcdream and palm-pre too).
We are at the beginning of the port and we're struggling with some boot
issues.
We are targeting micro-sd installations only for now.

Note that I use only 0xFFFF(latest hg version).

Basically I am able to flash and boot a self-compiled kernel, but only
if the n900 is connected to a computer trough usb:
so I tried that:
./0xFFFF -p kernel%.../linux-2.6.28/arch/arm/boot/zImage -R -D 0
The "..." are a long path.

I also tried with -D 1

That flash and boots the kernel fine.

Then when I reboot without the usb cable plugged in it "reboots"
endlessly and I can only see the nokia logo and the device powering on
and off, despite of having the framebuffer console compiled in the
kernel(not as module).
My theory is that the kernel is not booted at all, because if there was
a kernel panic, like for instance when the rootfs is not found, it would
display it on the framebuffer console and wait a bit because of the
panic=20 that I put in CONFIG_CMDLINE

Is it a 0xFFFF issue?
Is there a solution? or where to look for the solution?

Denis.
