mystery solved.. it's a flaw in fso built with newer vala, which anables
usbhost and then fails to continue

usbnet and charging works when you disable fsodeviced:
mv /usr/sbin/fsodeviced /usr/sbin/fsodeviced-dis

or just remove init.d script and dbus-autostart file
fsodeviced.log

hopefully mickey will find some time to check what changed in vala
during weekend

but for now it's safer to just ignore tests/shr-unstable images
