I use it for development... I mean, I've installed Vala in /usr prefix, while I keep my FSO development root in /opt/dev, with this patch I can still compile cornucopia with the /opt/dev prefix (or any other) without installing vala in the very same prefix (to make it find the needed VAPIs).
