thanks for your help. I reinstalled shr and it fixes the problem , now I can
list devices with aplay -l and arecord -l. Successfully play sound with

>aplay -D default testsound.wav

but unable to record with arecord :(

I have tried
>arecord -D default and arecord hw:0,0

but it gives input output read error
>arecord:pcm_read : 1692: read error: Input/output error

I don't have and .conf file associated with alsa. what setting should be with
alsamixer ?

any help will be highly appreciated.

First of all: Don't panic.

Not yet :-)

Well check if you have pulseaudio installed.
It sometimes sneakes into your system by being listed as depency
and then takes over the audiodevices.
It's a different sound server, used by other desktop apps, then the ones
of SHR.
Of course then all the sound stuff won't work anymore,
even if drivers and so on are ok.
It's just because the hardware is already used by pulseaudio.
So just look if you have installed pulseaudio...
I suggest to run
    opkg list-installed | grep pulse
And if you get some packages listed run
    opkg remove <package from list>
    reboot
And then be lucky about returned sound :-)
