Hi,

Welcome on board! It's great to have a new HTC device. I have only
started to do some work in order to bring the HTC devices to the new SHR
metadata.

It is a perfectly good idea to use the rootfilesystem from the dream,
but using the same kernel, your device might just freeze. Note that the
kernels for these machines are highly specific to one exact device.

The correct approach here is to start of with the official kernel tree
provided by the distributor of the device.
A quick search lead me to this site
http://sourceforge.net/motorola/cliqdext/home/Home/ which has nothing. I
hope you will be more successful !
In the long run we will have to do small modifications to the kernel
that are needed because SHR expects different drivers than ANDROID.

We might collect the basic information on kernel etc. and possible
hardware differences to drean at http://wiki.htc-linux.org .

Regarding the kernel development I'd also suggest to subscribe to
http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mobile-linux-discuss
(I cc'ed to this list)
There are some people on there working on similar SoCs

I'd suggest to check out
