Hi, I just installed the latest SHR-CORE on my gta02 and ran across a few minor bugs that I want to report. I went to the bug tracker and tried to make an account, but TRAC gave me an error. Anyhow, here they are.
1) Ogg ringtones don't work. Neither do mp3, AIFF, or SID. Only my wav files work. Looking at the gst-plugins package, it appears that there are many plugins missing (perhaps removed for space reasons?) 2) The Terminal application shows boxes for characters, however this is fixed during bug #3. 3) opkg needs to configure some programs after the first install. I found this out by accident when I tried to install gst-plugins-ugly. One of the packages is the liberation-fonts, so that's probably why bug #2 went away afterward. I've pasted in the text below. 4) This isn't a bug, but a feature request: when setting up the timezone for the first time, a window is popped up with pictures of hundreds of flags. On the gta02 it scrolls very slowly and it's a pain to find anything. It would be nice if there was at least a preliminary dialogue that asked what continent the user lives on. Even better would be if the user could type in a location. Best would be a map that lets the user simply point. (If the concept of clicking on a map hasn't been patented by Apple, that is.) Thanks for the great phone system. It seems to be working wonderfully so far! --B root@om-gta02:/usr/share/sounds# opkg install gst-plugins-ugly Package gst-plugins-ugly (0.10.19-r1) installed in root is up to date.
