That's what I did and now I want to share my experience with you. Unfortunately my experience was rather negative. But from the beginning: The Installation of the image worked as simple as the installation of the jffs2 images. I installed the ubifs version of qi, the ubi image (lite) and the latest kernel (altough this is probablöy not really needed). Everything worked well, the system boot up time was shorter than before (at least I felt it was shorter). I automated the installation of the missing packages by script and after that the system was running well for a day (including one reboot). Then, yesterday, there was a kernel update from the SHR-U feed. I didn't think of it as a problem, but the FR did not boot after that upgrade anymore, ending up in a kernel panic with some ubifs error message (I don't remember the exact message, sorry!). So my ubifs experiment resulted in restoring my jffs2 image and having "wasted" some hours in the installation of the ubifs based image. Anybody else made such an experience or am I the only one? -- Lars Lubarsky's Law of Cybernetic Entomology: There's always one more bug. _______________________________________________ Shr-User mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shr-project.org/mailman/listinfo/shr-user
