Good to see all that feedback :-)

The keyboard rotate issue will be fixed eventually - see 
http://shr-project.org/trac/ticket/510 - I don't know when that'll 
be, but I'd guess it may be a while as it sounds like quite a big 
change.

I think the OptimSMS2 keyboard looks nice, but having the bottom 
buttons so thin surely makes them hard to press, next to the edge of 
the screen? (I haven't had a chance to try it out on my phone yet)

For me, once the landscape works with keyboards I'm happy to use the 
current one. Though having the numbers available all in one keyboard 
(as it looks like the OptimSMS2 kb offers) would be nice.

I agree - the terminal is mostly unusable without a stylus for me, 
anyway.
