Thanks a bundle for the quick reply, Tom. I manages to set the profile to illume2 via the GUI. There are some issues, though: 1) After application of the new setting, I got very large icons on the desktop (3x2 icons in landscape mode) and similarly large bars on the top and on the bottom of the page. This got rectified after I restarted Xwindows via settings->appearance. 2) I couldn't find a way to force a keyboard in illume2.
