Hi.
After reboot the time on my freerunner was pathetically wrong (11:58 behind
the real local time). I tried to apply what the manual says and went to
        settings -> Date/time -> Time.
( http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/SHR_User_Manual#Date.2Ftime )

The GUI worked like a cahrm and I could adjust the digits. But when I pressed
the ok button, the time jumped back to where it was before. Is this a known
bug?

I was able to set the time on bash with the date command. Why can't the GUI?
Is there a reason to not mention the date command in the wiki? After all,
most freerunner users are no noobs on the command line.
