I have the same problem that after first setup with password it is at
state "connecting" and never gets over it. But when i close it and retry
again with saved password it works. So it seems you have to try one or
two times to get it to work. But most of the time it works after i have
stored the password.
It has something to do with wpa_supplicant on the freerunner. It
sometimes needs a few retries. I haven't made a fix yet, but I've made a
bug report at http://github.com/Ebbe/Iliwi/issues/issue/7
